How to read a palm

Palm reading (chiromancy) is a symbolic craft. You look at shapes, lines, and textures on the hand, then reflect on patterns people have associated with temperament and life themes for centuries. Treat every reading as entertainment and self-reflection, not prediction.

Prepare the hand

Sit somewhere quiet. Soft side light works better than harsh overhead light, because it makes the major lines easier to see. Open the hand gently. Do not stretch the skin until the lines flatten.

Find the four major lines

Begin with the heart line (upper horizontal), head line (middle), life line (curve around the thumb mound), and fate line (vertical toward the middle of the palm, if present). Not every hand shows a clear fate line.

Read slowly, then write it down

Name what you see first: long, short, curved, straight, forked, islanded. Only then add meaning. Keep a short note so you can compare both hands and revisit later without relying on memory alone.
